Like a lot of races today this is cutting up and it now looks a golden opportunity for FEVER DREAM to open his account. I thought he was an eye-catching fourth behind Weaver’s Answer on handicap debut at Uttoxeter when last seen. Put away since he is likely to have improved plenty since and the handicapper has left him off the same mark going up in trip. A first-time tongue tie goes on and everything suggests he is going to run a big race here. I was initially keen on Sangiovese but he is out now and the danger is likely Double Powerful who needs to show more but at least the step back up in trip might help.

I know SHE’S QUALITY wasn’t at her best at Newmarket on final start last season but that was a really tough race and she was highly tried on her final two starts. She has only actually had 6 runs so remains unexposed and this looks a good starting point for her before targeting some bigger pots. Her win at Newbury last year was quite impressive and she could still be a nice prospect. Obviously she has to overcome an absence so fitness is taken on trust and the betting will be informative but I’m keen to keep her on side. Tarsus beat Harry’s Bar here last month and is the obvious danger as he is in good form at present.
