Back in maiden company KING OF THE LAKE should have a great chance to make the breakthrough. He was a good second up in trip at Taunton when last seen and has since undergone wind surgery. Back down in trip will help and with the promise of more to come this looks a good opportunity to finally get off the mark. The yard are also going great guns at the moment so that is another notable positive. Tiny Tetley has been progressing well too and was beaten less than 2 lengths at Taunton last time so looks the obvious danger.

I know DONNY BOY isn’t all the rage in the betting for this but I think this son of Westerner has a great chance. He ran a big race in defeat denied just a head at Newcastle back in December and despite not really backing that up at Doncaster this is a winnable race and he has more to come in this sphere yet. His current mark should be workable and I see him as the most likely winner. Top Of The Bill won twice at Exeter and was progressing well but didn’t find much when down the field last time. If bouncing back he could still be the danger.
