After missing just a head at this track last month it was good to see CLOVIS ISLAND improve again to win with a bit up his sleeve at Hexham last time. This step up beyond 3 miles should prove ideal and now handicapping I can see him improving enough to follow up. He remains completely unexposed and this seems winnable on paper so I don’t see how he doesn’t go close. Artic Mann was a good second at Ayr last time and that form has substance so he is respected if repeating that. Enemy At The Gate is another one expected to get involved.
