Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's racing action

The Gavin Cromwell trained REDSTONE (best priced at 4/1) was a selection on his handicap debut last time but unfortunately he fell 3 out when still travelling well. The six-year-old beat subsequent Grade 1 runner-up King Of Kingsfield by ½ length on his hurdling debut over this course and distance and that rival is now rated 140. He was then sent off favourite to beat Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle runner-up Waterford Whispers, who is now rated 135, over 2m4f but could only finish 6th.
Redstone remains on a mark of125 which could seriously underestimate him and he should prove hard to beat if his confidence hasn’t been affected.

The handicapper has raised Miguel 2lbs up to a mark of 79 which is fair and he should run well upped in trip to 1m½f for the first time.

Willie Mullins has won this race twice out of the last four renewals and he looks to hold strong claims with the favourite NICK ROCKETT (best priced at 9/2) this year. This lightly raced novice has only had three starts over fences but as a result makes his handicap debut off an opening mark of 146. The seven-year-old won a Thurles bumper before winning both starts over hurdles last season including a Grade 2 novice hurdle here by 15 lengths.
Nick Rockett finished 4th on his chasing debut here behind Corbetts Cross, Three Card Brag and Monty’s Star before winning a beginners chase here by seven lengths. He was well fancied for the National Hunt Chase before finishing 2nd at Navan behind American Mike but connections decided to come here instead. Paul Townend gave I Am Maximus a fantastic ride to win this last year and hopefully he can do the same again this year.
