Steve Ryder is back with two tips from Friday's horse racing action.
17:05 Musselburgh
The progressive SUNDAY SOLDIER (best priced at 5/1) bids to complete a five-timer and she should hold strong claims with conditions to suit. The David Killahena & Graeme McPherson trained six-year-old started her winning sequence with two wins over 2 miles here off marks of 78 and 92 before following up at Sedgefield off a mark of 99.
Sunday Soldier then returned from a 50 day break to win at Doncaster on heavy ground easing clear by ten lengths shaping like this step up in trip to 2m4f would suit. She runs here off an 8lb higher mark following a 34 day break and she should prove hard to beat with Richie McLernon (3/3 on the horse) once again on board.
17:15 Lingfield
This looks a competitive 0-68 handicap but preference goes to the current outsider of the field JUNGLE DANCE (best priced at 15/2) who is undefeated at Lingfield. The John Butler trained three-year-old was an impressive 4 ¼ length winner at Wolverhampton in February off a mark of 47 before following up over this course and distance on his next start by a length off a mark of 58.
Jungle Dance could only finish 5th at Newcastle last time off today’s mark of 64 but this return to Lingfield is a positive and he should run well once again under Luke Morris.
