The Andrew Balding stable have started the season in good form and despite having to concede race fitness to Intinso, OLD HARROVIAN (best priced at 11/4) should hold strong claims in a competitive Rosebery Handicap. The lightly raced five-year-old has only run four times in his career with his two victories both coming on the AW.

Old Harrovian was last seen finishing 6th in the Group 3 Aston Park Stakes at Newbury but that was a strong contest behind the likes of Haskoy and Israr as well as Grade 1 winners Bolshoi Balllet and Yibir. He won off a 355 day break last season on his reappearance so this 322 day break is no concern and he should prove hard to beat from Stall 5.

Despite Stall 10 being a slight concern over this 6f trip, AZURE ANGEL (best priced at 11/4) should prove hard to beat over this course and distance. The Roger Varian trained four-year-old is unbeaten on her four starts on the AW including a victory over this course and distance under a penalty as a juvenile.
Azure Angel defied odds of 9/1 to win by ½ length at Newcastle on her reappearance in February off a mark of 89 and she should prove hard to beat off only a 4lb higher mark.

Profitman sets the standard based on his consistent runs in handicaps this season but a chance is taken on BRINTON (best priced at 6/1) who makes her handicap debut off an opening mark of 52. The Jonny Portman trained three-year-old ran with credit in three runs last season but is bred to be much better than a rating of 52.
Rob Hornby should be able to get Brinton into a good position from Stall 2 and she looks worth taking a chance on at the prices.
