GYTO Sunday Notebook Double

The likeable GLANCE FROM CLOVER looked good winning over C&D on penultimate start and he was still moving well when coming down at Warwick last month. Back at this venue racing off the same mark I think he can bounce back quickly so I’m confident he is the one to beat. Has Troke stays well and he showed that when winning at Newcastle last month so looks the obvious danger despite a 4lb rise. Mortens Leam won at Stratford on penultimate start but was well held at Taunton last time and I’m surprised he is favourite at the time of writing. I’m fairly confident he’ll drift out in the betting come post time.

This could be a good opportunity for HE FITZ IN to follow up. He clocked a career best winning at Limerick last month and I know he comes back in trip here but as long as that doesn’t inconvenience him too much then I do think he is the most likely winner. He is still relatively lightly raced over fences for his age so there could be a fair bit more to come yet. Tangental was back to form when fourth at Navan when last seen and could be the danger if building on that again. Womalko is also interesting but it is worth noting that he bled when last seen and horses don’t always recover quickly from that and he is short enough.
