Having been sent off 20/1 on debut that was a huge run from NORTHERNER to get within half a length of victory at Wetherby on sole start as a 2yo. She was given a patient ride and came through strongly in the closing stages. She is open to plenty of improvement this term and this could be a good starting point. The ground is softer than when she made her debut but if she handles it I’m confident she can get the job done. Moral Standards ran much better when runner-up last time and if building on that again could be the danger. Obligatory is another one in with a squeak if improving.

All eyes on SUNDAY SOLDIER at Perth to see if she can land the six-timer. She has done nothing but improve since sent handicapping and was good value for that half a length victory at Musselburgh last time. The fifth Blame Rose has won since so the form has already been franked too. She is 6lb higher again but confidence is high and this seems another decent opportunity to keep the run going. Similar Story was half a length behind the selection last time so looks to be the obvious danger just 3lb higher. Donso Star won at Ayr and was a good third behind the two mentioned above so is also respected.
