The son of Vendangeur makes only his fifth start over hurdles and he looks the one to side with. Farnoge is noted too.

With a tendency to jump out to her right, RIVIERE D'ETEL found herself giving too much ground away when sixth in the Mares' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month. The main danger is Instit, who finished ahead of the selection in fifth at Cheltenham, while Malina Girl should prove more competitive back over fences.

Not for the first time, GUNSIGHT RIDGE's stamina appeared to ebb away when weakening into third over 2m4f at Newbury last time out. This return to 2m could prove just the tonic for Olly Murphy's charge and a third victory over fences could be on the horizon. Figaroc has posted some creditable efforts in defeat in Ireland and the nine-year-old is feared most now dropping in class. C&D scorer Mint Gold completes the shortlist.
