Steve Ryder is back with three tips for todays horse racing action.
14:12 Catterick
The Bryan Smart trained ZOOM STAR (best priced at 13/2) has shown his best form over this course and distance and he should step forward from his recent reappearance run.
The six-year-old has form figures of 111U46 over this course and distance including when 2/2 on the soft ground that she will encounter today.
Zoom Star has won off marks of 51, 53 and 54 over this course and distance in the past so she looks well handicapped off a mark of 51 and she should run well with up to four places available.
15:05 Ludlow
Despite having to concede weight to his remaining eight rivals, ONE TRUE KING (best priced at 11/4) should hold strong claims of completing a hat-trick of course victories. The Nigel Twiston-Davies trained nine-year-old managed to cope with a drop back to 2 miles to win here in March by 4 ¼ lengths off a mark of 115 before following up earlier this month back over this trip of 3 miles off a mark of 120.
I am a big fan of the stablemate Kestrel Valley that he beat that day and he did so comfortably by 2 ¾ lengths at the finish. The handicapper has raised One True King 8lbs for that recent success which is fair and he should prove hard to beat with James Turner taking over on board.

This looks a weak 0-100 novices’ handicap hurdle for MRS TABITHA (best priced at 11/4) to make her handicap debut in and she should prove much better than a mark of 79 in time.
The Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero trained five-year-old was an impressive four length winner of a bumper at Bangor on her debut where she had the now 124 rated Josh The Boss back in fourth and the now 109 rated Wise Guy back in fifth.
Mrs Tabitha has form figures of P07 over hurdles so far but was sent off 100/1 on her previous two starts and as a result she now makes her handicap debut off an opening mark of 79. Connections fit her with a first time tongue tie and she should prove hard to beat if replicating the form of her bumper success.
