That debut win from OFFER AND RECEIVE last year was promising and while he couldn’t follow up at Ayr next time he still ran well in defeat. He looks the type to do better as a 3yo and with the yard red-hot now sent handicapping he looks a good bet to make a winning return. An opening mark of just 80 looks lenient and he is the most likely winner with just 5 heading to post. Nellie Leylax is likeable and will give his running but Von Baer might improve past him and emerge as the biggest danger.

No surprise to see TRAVIS popular to make a winning handicap debut here. He didn’t show much on his first two starts but ran a cracker when third at Southwell last time and an opening mark of 75 should be lenient. The horse that finished fifth in that race Restless Prince has won since so the form should work out well in time. Mr Irrelevant chased home the progressive Vince L’amour over C&D last time and could be the danger if improving again. Mutasawi needs to bounce back but is another one to note.
