Karl Burke is in terrific form and with the drop back a furlong in trip to 7f unlikely to pose any issues he should justify favouritism. Gemstar was a place behind the selection last time and if improving again she could be the danger. Hard to see her reversing that form though. Of the rest Extrication can do better and Brioni ran well at Sandown on Friday so that Kempton form doesn’t look too bad.

With 3 wins last season PLEDGEOFALLEGIANCE looked progressive and with the promise of more to come over this trip he might be good enough to make a winning return here. He won his final start impressively at Ripon and he is still unexposed over 2 miles plus. He has a lot of scope so I can see him stepping forward again as a 4yo. Prydwen impressed winning easily at Newcastle last month and has fitness on side so looks the danger. Wonderful Eagle beat another improver in Tradesman here last month and is another one that can get competitive.
