This looks a competitive fillies’ 0-95 handicap but preference goes to ZAINABB (best priced at 6/1) who ran a career best on her AW debut here last time. The Charlie Fellowes trained three-year-old was only beaten 1 ½ lengths on her second career start at Beverley but disappointed on her final start last season on her handicap debut at Newmarket off a mark of 79.

Zainabb returned from 167 days off the track to finish 2nd by ½ length over 7f here and she runs here off only a 1lb higher mark. Kieran Shoemark retains the ride and if she can cope with this extra furlong then she should run well with up to four places available.

Zainabb - 0.5pts e/w @ 6/1

The Philip Hobbs & Johnson White trained WONDERFUL EAGLE (best priced at 5/1) won on his UK flat debut a month ago and should hold strong claims of following up off only a 3lb higher mark. The five-year-old was a three-time winner on the flat in Germany before joining the yard to go hurdling where he won his first two hurdle races before finishing midfield in two Class 3 Cheltenham handicaps.

Wonderful Eagle was making his AW debut when beating the in-form Tradesman by ½ length here over 1m6f shaping like this step up in trip to 2m½f would suit him well. His usual cheekpieces are replaced by a first time visor and he should run well with Silvestre De Sousa taking over on board.

Wonderful Eagle - 1pt @ 5/1

The Harry Charlton stable remain in fantastic form this season including two at Sandown on Friday and I am hoping ACOTANGO (best priced at 6/1) can make a winning reappearance in this race. The four-year-old has only run twice on the AW showing good form both times when finishing 2nd here over a mile last season off a mark of 86 and when winning at Kempton over a mile off a mark of 80.

Acotango now returns from 221 days off the track off a mark of 85 and if he can cope with this drop to 7f on his reappearance then he should be involved in the finish for this in-form yard with four places available.

Acotango - 0.5pts e/w @ 6/1
