The David O’Meara trained CHURCHELLA (best priced at 7/2) is prone to being slowly away at the start but in this smaller seven runner race she shouldn’t get too far behind. The four-year-old beat The Craftymaster here over this course and distance in March and that rival has boosted the form since and is now rated 7lbs higher.

Churchella blew the start at Chelmsford on her next start but bounced back to form winning once again over this course and distance off a mark of 68 by a neck and she should be involved in the finish off only a 3lb higher mark.

The well bred Air Commander won on his return at Dundalk earlier this month but a rating of 92 will make this tough on handicap debut and preference instead goes to MARTY THE PARTY (best priced at 9/2) The Fozzy Stack trained three-year-old was only beaten ½ length at the Curragh on his final start last season before finishing 2nd by ¾ length back in trip to 7f.
An opening mark of 85 for Marty The Party seems lenient based on his promising latest two runs and he looks the biggest danger to the Aidan O’Brien trained favourite.

Both Calm Waters and Atlantic Gamble are respected on their handicap debuts but the standard is set by HATADORA (best priced at 9/4) who was only beaten a short head over this course and distance off 1lb higher a week ago. The Richard Hannon trained three-year-old won at Lingfield off a mark of 58 in February before finishing 2nd here on her turf debut a week ago.
Hatadora was only beaten a short head off a mark of 60 that day but gets to run here off 1lb lower and she should be able to go one better in this race with Kevin Stott retaining the ride.
