Back down to his last winning mark EDMUND IRONSIDE should have a great chance of winning this. He won over a mile here last year and has clocked some decent speed figures too. He shapes these days as though he’ll be suited by a mile and a quarter and if seeing it out looks to have obvious claims. There isn’t a great deal of pace on so it will be interesting to see if they go forward with him. He likes to pass horses though so I think he’ll try and get a toe in before taking aim in the closing stages. Platinum Prince is a decent yardstick at this level and could be the danger despite being burdened with top-weight. Magical Dragon is another one in with a chance.
