Advised Bet: Rohaan, 0.5 pts E/W, 9/1, 5 places

ROHAAN (best price 9/1) wasn’t at his best at Kempton last time out, but the return to the turf over this trip should see David Evans’ charge run a huge race, with Neil Callan retained to ride.

This dual Royal Ascot winner is only a pound above his last winning mark, and he’s not at this track since finishing midfield in the Group 1 July Stakes a couple of seasons ago. The six-year-old has regularly run well at the highest level, and he will have his favourite ground.

His second win in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot was off 109, so he remains well handicapped with a mark of 103. He is a class act on his day and has beaten a few of these numerous times in the past.

He saves his best for big-field races, and this race will be run to suit his running style. I think he’s got a serious each-way chance, with plenty in his favour and most firms paying five places.

Advised Bet: Bopedro, 0.5 pts E/W, 12/1, 5 places

BOPEDRO (best price 12/1) is a bit of a course specialist and has made the frame in some high-class handicaps on a regular basis at this venue.

He is two pounds lower than when he finished third in last year’s Cambridgeshire over track and trip and when he finished fourth in the Balmoral at Royal Ascot.

He’s a course winner that is only two pounds above his last successful mark, and he shaped nicely when eighth of 17 here last time out off this mark.

The visor is reapplied and the ground has come right for him, so with most bookmakers paying five places, I’ll be surprised if he’s not bang in contention at the business end.

Bopedro - 0.5pts e/w @ 12/1
