Steve Ryder is back with three tips from Sunday's horse racing action.

Kalpana was an impressive winner over this course and distance last time but that was only in a handicap off a mark of 78 and preference instead goes to WINTER SNOWFALL (best priced at 7/2) for William Buick and Charlie Appleby. The daughter of Galileo finished 2nd behind a stablemate at Kempton on her debut before winning at Chelmsford three weeks ago from a subsequent winner. She beat Danielle by ½ length that day with the pair pulling six lengths clear and that rival has since boosted the form winning by 12 lengths at Wetherby a week ago.
Winter Snowfall has the benefit of a recent run over the majority of this field and she can hopefully cope with this step up in class.

This looks a weak renewal of the Dahlia Stakes this year and I feel it is worth taking a chance on the lowest rated mare ASTRAL BEAU (best priced at 17/2). The Pam Sly trained five-year-old finished 3rd in this race last year behind Via Sistina and Al Husn having won at Doncaster on her reappearance. She could only finish 2nd in the Doncaster Mile this year but was only beaten by subsequent Group 2 bet365 Mile winner Charyn with the pair pulling 5 ½ lengths clear of the third.
There was a strong headwind that day at Doncaster so the run of Astral Beau can be upgraded and she could spring a surprise under regular rider Shane Kelly.

William Buick has opted to ride the debutant Symbol Of Honour over Al Qudra who finished 4th over this course and distance on debut but preference goes to THE ACTOR (best priced at 5/2) who finished 2nd in that race. The Richard Hannon trained son of Harry Angel was only beaten a neck that day by Arran in what looked a good race at the time.
Sent off a relatively unfancied 12/1 that day, The Actor should step forward from that debut effort and I expect him to go one place better in this race.
