The step up in trip brought out the best in JAYAREBE at Newmarket and he ran out an impressive winner on return. That form has already been franked with the third Caviar Heights winning effortlessly since. He is up to a mile and a quarter for the first time here so should improve again and he is hard to oppose. This is a good race with some nice types lining up but he is definitely a colt to keep on the right side of today and going forward. Bracken’s Laugh impressed visually winning at Chelmsford but that wasn’t really backed up by the clock so perhaps God’s Window will be a greater threat having won as expected at Nottingham on return.

I think the fact REACHING HIGH jumped the path at Sandown on debut told you he was going to be a work in progress. He still looked clueless when down the field at Yarmouth and then put away returned with an encouraging run at Windsor last month. He came off the bridle a couple of furlongs from home but kept on well and was nearest finish. Now handicapping it would be no surprise to see a different horse here and he looks a good bet to get off the mark. The African Queen arrives on a hat-trick but this won’t be easy under a penalty. That might leave Crimson Road as the danger as he is also making his handicap debut.
