The money came for AMERICAN BAY on handicap debut and with a clear run he may well have won. He was yet to be asked for an effort 2 furlongs from home but just couldn’t find a gap and when he did the race was over. He ran on strongly but couldn’t reach the leaders and in truth it was a poor ride from Probert. The yard continue in terrific form and off the same mark he should take a lot of beating so no surprise to see the money coming again. Dragon Leader has won 4 from 5 and impressed taking a Listed contest on final start as a 2yo. He has more to come on handicap debut and is the likely danger but the lack of a run would have to be a bit of a worry.
