Horses for courses! MARHABA THE CHAMP is a perfect 2-2 at the Knavesmire and that form beating Bague D’or over C&D last year looks decent now. I know he failed to give his running at Newmarket on final start but I’m willing to put a line through that and with the ground perfect I think everything is in place for a big run on his reappearance. Buick has been booked and they’re clearly expecting a big performance. Klondike has only had 4 starts and given a wind op since last seen if he improves on return he could emerge as the danger as the market is suggesting. Crystal Delight is also feared after impressing at Epsom last month.

After missing just a short head HATADORA improved again to win with a bit in hand at Windsor last month. That form has already been franked too with the runner-up Calm Waters winning at Windsor earlier this month. Richard Hannon’s filly has gone up 3lb and with the promise of more to come looks well placed to follow up. Mbappe made a winning start for his new yard at Kempton last month and if staying the mile will be the danger up 3lb. On Song hasn’t been running badly either and if finding some further improvement is another one that could be competitive but hopefully behind the selection at the finish.
