After failing to show a great deal on debut THE AMAZON quickly stepped forward to win impressively over this trip at Windsor last month. This colt by Farhh showed a real liking for the soft ground and given they have watered the track and then had heavy downpours conditions will be ideal. James Tate is in terrific form operating at a 33% strike rate in the past fortnight alone and everything points towards a big run here. Nariko is being given a chance by the handicapper and might be the one to chase him home. Charlie Mason impressed at Windsor and is another one I expect to get competitive at least.

After showing promise on his first two starts the likeable GRANDLAD improved again to open his account at Wolverhampton last month. He was quickly into stride and then made all impressively, hitting the line hard. He should have more to come now handicapping and a mark of 77 may well prove to be lenient. He switches to turf for the first time as well so as long as he transfers that form over I think he is the one to beat. Kiss And Run bumped into the improving Sub Thirteen at Bath and then was a good second again at Windsor so looks the one to give him most to think about.
