The five-year-old was only beaten a couple of lengths in a very competitive contest over this track and trip at the Dante meeting and he may take some stopping off the same mark here. He is considered along with Rabaah, who is sliding down to a feasible mark.

The form of Gather Ye Rosebuds' Listed success at Goodwood received a boost when fifth-placed Madame Ambassador landed the Rothesay at Ayr on Wednesday, and the progressive four-year-old merits respect despite a rise in class. However, RIVER OF STARS won this corresponding event 12 months ago on the back of a similar absence, and she appears to have been laid out for this once more. Trevaunance sets the standard on official ratings and she is of interest now stepped up in trip, while Night Sparkle and classy hurdler Marie's Rock are two others to consider.

Having relished the step up in trip when scoring with authority over 1m2f at Beverley last time, Terrorise holds strong claims of following up that success today. However, Brian Ellison's charge will have to defy an 8lb rise in the ratings and that could leave him susceptible to some better treated rivals, such as JAYYASH. The Gosden-trained colt made a pleasing start in handicap company when he was beaten just a head over 1m at Kempton, and he is taken to go one better with this extra yardage likely to suit. Per Contra is another to note.

A very competitive contest sees a chance taken on MERESIDE DIVA, who won with something in hand on her latest outing over 7f at Haydock and a repeat of that effort would see her go close once again. David and Nicola Barron's charge has been raised just 3lb in the ratings which could prove lenient today. Riot was a comfortable winner over C&D last time and he commands respect, despite carrying top weight after going up 6lb for that success, although Craven, who finished third on that occasion, could reverse that form on much better terms. The hat-trick seeking Northcliff should also be thereabouts, while Extrication could feature on his handicap bow.
