The money came for TWILIGHT DANCER over C&D last month and she made no mistake making all the running convincingly under 5lb claimer Olivia Tubb. She looked a cut above that level and while this represents a step up in grade she is still fairly lightly raced so could still be capable of further improvement especially at this track as it looks to play to her strengths. There are one or two that will go forward but I still think she will get the lead and I expect her to be tough to pass. Falcon Nine didn’t run badly at Lingfield when last seen and could still have more to come for his new yard so looks the most obvious danger.

The good looking MART was starting to become expensive to follow having finished runner-up 4 times in a row but he stopped that run of seconds at Newmarket last time. He hit the front going best and just had to be shaken up to settle it. He is only 4lb higher here and turned out quickly if in the same form should follow up. Once he got his head in front last season he won 2 of his next 3 starts so is clearly a horse to back when confidence is high. Invincible Speed won readily at Wolverhampton but then was only midfield at Kempton last time. If stripping fitter could still emerge as the biggest threat here.
