Two-year-olds from the Richard Fahey stable have been showing up well of late, and LOVELY SPIRIT looks another likely type on debut from a plum draw in stall two. The daughter of Invincible Spirit may want further in time but she is likely to be tuned up for this and gets the vote ahead of fellow newcomer Tales Of Immortal, who is related to a whole host of smart winners. Of those with experience, Big Bug sets the standard on the back of a pair of creditable efforts.

Although MACH TEN was beaten by 10 lengths into fourth over an extended 1m4f at Chester last time, it did at least give the impression that he would be suited by a further step up in trip. The Ten Sovereigns gelding is related to a 2m winner, so it would come as no surprise were he to step forward. Ed Bethell can do little wrong at present, so Oh What Fun, who steps up markedly in distance on the back of a 200-day absence, is worth monitoring in the market. Similar comments apply to Candle Wax, but Filibustering might be better equipped.

UNIQUE SPIRIT did incredibly well to fill the runner-up spot over 1m on his racecourse debut last month having lost many lengths leaving the stalls. The son of Waldgeist should be more streetwise here and, with a step up in trip likely to suit, he can go one better. Dubai First finished behind the selection in third that day and should also progress, but it is hard to see that form being reversed. Lord Chamberlain can chase the pair home.

Too Much drops a grade on her first start for new connections and her turf debut. She steps up in trip and is worthy of close consideration. Dream Selection has place chances on her better all-weather form if she can transfer that to the grass, but SHIFTER ticks lots of boxes. She has won two of her three starts over this trip including last time out and on her only previous start at this venue.

John Kirkup is worthy of serious consideration with Serena Brotherton in the saddle and, after 10 career wins, three over this trip and seven off higher marks, he could go close. Polam Lane is entitled to improve for his first run in 19 months when sixth at Catterick, but ENDERMAN has the best recent form. Only beaten half a length and a head on his last two starts, he deserves a victory and won't get many better chances.
