CASTLE DARAGH prevailed by a neck in a fight to the line at Chepstow on his first start over regulation fences. David Pipe's charge is fancied to confirm superiority with fourth-placed Red Nika, despite the worse terms, and go in again. The latter looks a threat, as does recent Cheltenham third Padjoes Legacy, while Mount Pleasant and Jay Bee Whiskey have been in good form between the flags.

Olive Nicholls teamed up with SHANTOU FLYER to win last year's renewal by a wide margin and another bold bid looks on the cards. Famous Clermont has every chance at the weights if putting a below-par effort at Punchestown behind him and should give the selection plenty to think about, while Gina Andrews has partnered two of the last three winners of this and her mount Captain Biggles could be in the mix too.

Forest Chimes struck over these fences in March and should make his presence felt again, but the less exposed ISKANDAR PECOS is preferred. The six-year-old has now won three of his four starts over regulation fences having scored nicely at Cheltenham last time and may not have finished improving yet. Master Templar finished runner-up at the same Cheltenham meeting and can give another good account.

ANNAMIX hit the frame in the Randox Foxhunters' at Aintree last month and he sets the standard in this contest with a rating of 139. Willie Mullins' veteran tries this trip for the first time, but he can cope with it to record his seventh career victory. The main danger might be Go On Chez, who is seeking the hat-trick after scoring in easy fashion at Kelso to supplement a Ludlow triumph. Premier Magic is another to consider after his second at Cheltenham.

REBEL DAWN RISING got up by a length at Cheltenham earlier in the month and that was a highly encouraging effort to make it two wins out of his last three starts. The 10-year-old can continue his fine form to go in again, with his main threat possibly Envious Editor, who was victorious in a point-to-point recently and should go well. Solomon Grey and Sixteen Letters are just two others to consider.

FIER JAGUEN was just touched off by a head at Cheltenham last time and that is arguably the best recent form in this contest. Bradley Gibbs' nine-year-old looks well placed to go one better, although Cat Tiger also filled the runner-up spot at Cheltenham earlier in the month, over an extended 2m4f, and he has to be feared. Cap Du Mathan isn't out of it either.
