Arguably LAOISMAN is unlucky not to be coming here eyeing up a five-timer. He showed a good attitude to complete the hat-trick on return and then went down just a nose at Windsor last month. He was headed in what must have been the final stride and the filly that beat him looks progressive herself. He is only 2lb higher and if he improves again he must have a great chance against these. Harry Brown is coming back down the weights and shaped better at Newmarket so might be the danger. The Thames Boatman is another one with claims if bouncing back to something like his best.

This should be a good opportunity for CON TE PARTIRO to get back on track. He took his form up a notch to make a winning debut at Kempton back in February and then went on to win twice at this track and bring up a hat-trick before running well in second when last seen. I don’t think he was ideally suited by Chelmsford last time and back at this venue and back half a furlong in trip he should take a bit of beating. He is just 1lb higher and this looks a bit easier. Golden. Myrrh has a bit to prove off the back of that run at Nottingham but it is still early days and if bouncing back she could be the danger.
