FOR THREE (best price 8-1) was a beaten favourite at Hexham Last time out, but time may tell he faced an impossible task trying to give Jumping Jupiter the thick end of a 15-length head start, and Sam England’s inmate is well worth another chance to make up for his narrow defeat at a track where he has gone well in the past.
A horse that traditionally likes to be put to sleep at the back of the field, the 10-year-old was still in the cheap seats as the main players skipped for home at the Borders venue and although he made significant inroads to the eventual winner late on, the dye was cast as far as capturing the main prize was concerned.
Still, his effort must go down as a praiseworthy one under the circumstances and even though he faces several lightly raced types who arrive here with progressive profiles, he’s fancied to more than hold his own.

STAR OF LADY M (best price 11-2) produced an uncharacteristically poor display by her standards at Nottingham last time out but the combination of seeing too much daylight early over six furlongs counted against her, and she is worth another chance back at a track where her C&D stats read 3211.
As most of her victories have come over the minimum trip and off a break, there was always a risk allowing to run her just seven days after being successful at Thirsk and as things transpired, everything that could go wrong did go wrong for David O’Meara’s filly.
A busted flush by halfway given her propensity to race with the choke out, she trailed in last of the eight runners at the Midland venue and today is an exercise in trying to get her back on track as soon as possible.
A dual winner at the Surrey venue during the winter, she also has the services of Oisin Murphy on board who is 2-2 on the daughter of Havana Grey and hailing from a yard who are doing particularly well as present, confidence is high she can bounce back in the right direction.
