This represents a good opportunity for Dermot Weld’s filly TARAWA to get back in the winners enclosure. She shaped as though she wanted further when third on reappearance at Naas and now up a couple of furlongs in trip she could improve again and be ready to strike. Both Cairo and Quar Shamar should go forward and that could prove key as the selection wouldn’t want it to turn tactical. She will be ridden patiently before looking to pick them off late. The danger is probably Formal Display as the market is suggesting. He is by Too Darn Hot and impressed winning at Dundalk but he needs to improve a fair bit to trouble the selection.

The step up to this trip for the first time brought out the best in CLEAR STORM on handicap debut as she prevailed by a head at Nottingham last month. The front pair came 3 lengths clear from a well strung out field and the third Pink Lilly and sixth Golden Myrrh have both won since to frank the form. She has only gone up 3lb so really should be following up with the promise of more to come especially at this distance and beyond. Faayzah was disappointing at Lingfield on final start but she still has potential and could be the danger on return. Marefuori is another one I can see running well as while he was only fifth latest that is working out well.
