The only last time out winner in the field KATIE G must have a great chance of following up in this lowly grade. She reacted well to a first-time visor to get her head in front at Lingfield last month and a mere 3lb rise shouldn’t be enough to anchor her in what looks to be another winnable race. Obviously she switches back to turf here so needs to make sure she can reproduce that on this surface but I don’t see any issues. Sir Bolton, Monkey Miss and even Kurimu could all go forward and if that happens it would be ideal as I think Saffie Osborne will look to play her late. Yiengaa knocked on the door at Catterick latest and could be the biggest danger.

A first-time hood did the trick for COTINUANCE at Chepstow last month where he ran out an impressive 5 and a half length winner. He did finish strongly from off a fast gallop that day so he wouldn’t want this to turn tactical but if he is in the same form under a penalty I still expect him to take a lot of beating. Billy Loughnane was in the winners enclosure last night and takes over in the saddle so that would have to be considered a big positive as well. This horse is still unexposed especially in handicaps and looks the one to beat. Almudena needs to improve now handicapping but should enjoy going up in trip so could turn out to be the main threat here.
