Calyx colt PRINCIPALITY did well to get as close as he did on debut given he was a bit worked up in the prelims. He was restless in the stalls too and despite getting caught wide in the race made some good headway when the penny dropped and was only beaten a length and a half. I expect him to be a lot more streetwise this time and if he handles the prelims better he should be able to open his account against these. Carrados was hammered on debut but failed to live up to market expectations beaten 4 lengths into third. He should improve and is probably the main danger. Newcomer Abstract Art is also noted so watch the market on that one.

Dan and Harry Skelton are red-hot right now and GOD’S OWN GETAWAY looks set to make it 3 wins from his last 4 here. He has taken really well to fences winning well at Southwell on chase debut and then was back to winning ways at Market Rasen last month. He is 5lb higher but is still open to further improvement especially in this discipline so with the yard flying I think he’ll be hard to beat. Fix At All is the only other last time out winner in the field and he will probably give him most to think about. He impressed at Hereford and while this is tougher and he has to manage a 6lb rise he should still run well. Planned Paradise also has a squeak.
