Plenty went wrong for ALHATTAN on handicap debut and she was still only beaten a couple of lengths. She was a bit of a mess in the prelims getting worked up and sweating and then she was given a lot to do in the race switched off out the back. She moved into the race going well but became unbalanced in the dip at Newmarket where a lot of inexperienced horses can. She was then denied a run at a crucial stage before staying on well for sixth. This track should suit better and she is still unexposed at this trip so could get firmly back on track here. Elladonna won nicely at Nottingham in a first-time hood and with Buick booked is the danger despite a 5lb rise. Quietness impressed at Windsor and is another one to note with Oisin Murphy up.
