The step up in trip and the application of blinkers has brought out the best in BALTIC and even with a further 7lb rise I think he’ll be tough to beat here in his hat-trick attempt. It briefly looked like race on at Doncaster last time but the further he went the better he looked and he stayed on strongly to win by nearly 3 lengths at the line. He has understandably gone up in the weights but Ryan Moore is an eye-catching booking and he should be the one to be on. Kojin keeps running well and got within a length of victory at Brighton last time so looks the danger with his form stacking up too. Eljaytee actually beat the latter last time so must also enter calculations.

I thought SACRED FALLS was a bit unlucky to be nailed on the line over C&D on penultimate start so it was good to see her put that right at Carlisle last time. She ran on strongly under 5lb claimer William Pyle and if the cheekpieces have the same effect again she looks the one to side with. She is up 5lb but William Pyle has been booked again and claims 5lb and her form should give her a good chance of following up. Catherine Chroi just kept galloping to win over C&D last time and has now won 6 of her last 7 which is some achievement. She is up another 3lb but will likely be thereabouts once more. Winter Crown is another one in with a squeak.
