That said, Eighth Avenue cost 240,000gns as a yearling and is from the same family as the Queen Mary winner Ceiling Kitty. With that in mind, she should not be discounted, while Never The Twain and The Terminus are also of interest.

There should be more to come from handicap debutant Rosa Applause, who bids for a hat-trick having completed her double at Lingfield. Southwell winner BLUE DAY was caught too far back at Windsor nine days ago but this should play out more favourably and he gets the vote.

College Choir boasts a largely consistent profile and the lightly-raced daughter of Nathaniel is taken to go well once more, though it is AIMING HIGH who shades preference. Reyaadah Star likes it around here and it would come as no surprise were she to bounce back from a below-par showing at Nottingham.

The son of Fastnet Rock is proving a real force on the all-weather this year and he looks the one to be on. Le Rouge Chinois struck by the smallest of margins in this grade at Lingfield in January and he could have a say on his return to action, while Damascus Steel is another to consider.
