Mapledurham may not have quite matched the level of her Newbury debut when sixth at Leicester but is still a force to be reckoned with, as is Alerta Maxima, who caught the eye here. Alondra isn't out of it either.

Geliceaux responded well to George Downing's urgings to make a successful handicap debut at Salisbury and has every chance of following up off a 4lb higher mark. However, MYNA went out on her shield on her own handicap bow, going down by just a short head at Newbury, and that form may be slightly stronger. Papagei wasn't far away in sixth and could close the gap while, of the handicap newcomers this time, Toronto Raptor might be worth a look with cheekpieces applied.

MILLER SPIRIT doesn't look the most straightforward, but he was still good enough to spring a bit of a surprise over 1m4f here last week and the four-year-old escapes a penalty so can capitalise on being 3lb well-in. Clan Chieftain put an ordinary comeback behind him when finding only one too strong at Salisbury and heads the dangers. He is joined on that list by Bath scorer Enochdhu, who will appreciate any rain, and the reliable Turner Girl.

Cypriot Diaspora was denied by a head into second in heavy conditions at Leicester on her latest outing and she should go well off a 2lb higher mark. However, the vote goes to HILLTOP, who finished third behind Gogo Yubari (winner) two starts ago at Wolverhampton, but she is 3lb better off with that rival. The daughter of New Bay arguably didn't enjoy the track at Salisbury when well-held in fifth last time and can put that effort behind her to shed the maiden tag. Imola warrants a market check on her handicap debut.

ENCHANTING produced a big effort to finish fourth in the 3YO "Dash" at Epsom earlier in the month and the handicapper may have been kind to drop her 1lb for that performance. The daughter of Blue Point has plenty of early pace to burn and she could prove too good for her rivals. The main threat might be Make It Easy, who met trouble at both ends of the race at Musselburgh last time, so that display deserves a huge upgrade. Of the remainder, Cloud King makes the most appeal in a first-time hood.

DREAMROCKER caught the eye when reaching the frame in this grade over 7f at York last month and she goes off an unchanged mark. Ed Walker's four-year-old makes only her third handicap start and, with the likelihood of more to come, she looks the one to side with. Magical Merlin finished third at Brighton on his latest outing and is worth a second look tackling a mile for the first time, while New Heights remains on a workable mark.
