All three runnings of this race have gone to horses aged five or six carrying over nine stone and that seems to suggest a bold effort could be on the cards from GIDWA. RUNNING STAR returned with a solid enough display when third on his handicap/seasonal debut at Pontefract after some promising efforts in novice company last year. Summit went up 4lb for her Redcar success last time and commands respect along with Puella Law, who shed the maiden tag here last month, and Distinction.

The most significant interference occurred when making his challenge and the five-year-old is worth another chance. Little Ted finished ahead of the selection last time when also not getting the rub of the green and he is entitled to be in the mix, while Star Of St James and Whatwouldyouknow appeal most of the remainder.
