I’m expecting MY NOBLE LORD to be a warm order for this. He has looked really progressive since going handicapping winning 2 of his last 3 and was firmly in command at Yarmouth last month. He made every yard and always looked in his comfort zone. He has gone up another 6lb but his form is stacking up and I’m confident he can follow up under Kevin Stott. Filibustering also clocked a career best winning impressively at Redcar last month and up 8lb still looks the biggest danger to the selection. The drop back in trip might not be ideal though. Of the rest Continuance also won at Chepstow but needs to prove himself over this trip for the first time.

Another horse that should be well backed in the shape of EPHESUS for Aidan O’Brien. This Galileo colt ran on well to be nearest finish on debut at Dundalk and again improved to finish runner-up at Chester albeit turned over at cramped odds. He just got racing too soon last time and was picked off late. He will be more streetwise again here and is well placed to take out this maiden with the yard still going great guns. Teofimo left his debut run behind to get within a head of victory at Fairyhouse and if stepping forward again looks the danger. Blackpool is a stablemate to the selection but isn’t completely out of it either as he shaped with promise when third at Navan.
