The Wizard Of Eye 17/2 (0.5pt ew)

This looks an open renewal of the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, especially with Kinross an early NR, and preference goes to THE WIZARD OF EYE (best priced at 17/2) who looks worth taking a chance on back up in class.

The five-year-old had previously run well in group races over a mile but new trainer Charlie Fellowes is adamant that he has been running over the wrong trip.

Successful on his stable debut in the Victoria Cup a month ago under a confident ride, he showed plenty of speed over 7f suggesting that this drop to 6f wouldn’t be an inconvenience and could even bring about more improvement.

The Wizard Of Eye hasn’t run over 6f since his second career start when he won by 3 ½ lengths and having Ryan Moore on board for the first time is certainly no negative. He appears to have improved for a gelding operation and he should run well with up to five places on offer from Stall 14.

Hand Of God 7/2 (1pt)

Connections of HAND OF GOD (best priced at 7/2) were unlucky not to be successful with King’s Gambit earlier this week and hopefully he can build on his reappearance win.

The three-year-old was an impressive 2 ½ length winner on his final start last season on good to firm ground at Newmarket over a mile before winning the Esher Cup on his reappearance making all at Sandown.

Hand Of God appeared to have plenty left despite only winning by a neck and as a result the handicapper could only raise him 3lbs for that up to a mark of 91.

William Buick takes over on board and he should be able to get a good prominent position from Stall 17 and remain unbeaten this season.

Beautiful Diamond 13/8 (1pt)

There has to be huge question marks surrounding Azure Blue on the back of her two performances this season and despite having 6lbs to find on weight adjusted ratings, BEAUTIFUL DIAMOND (best priced at 13/8) is expected to win this listed race.

The Karl Burke trained three-year-old was a two-time winner last season including over this course and distance at this level and she has run well in better company on her two starts this season.

Beautiful Diamond finished 3rd beaten only a neck at Newmarket in the Palace House Stakes which is working out well before finishing 5th at Haydock in the Temple Stakes when the soft ground was probably against her. Dropping back down in class to listed level, she should prove hard to beat under David Nolan.
