GYTO Notebook Double for Tuesday 25th June

Beverley 3.47 Dain Ma Nut In (2/1)

I thought DAIN MA NUT IN caught the eye in defeat when midfield at Catterick on return and he improved again to finish a good third at Musselburgh last time. He bumped into a couple of nice types in First Alliance and National Interest and this looks easier. He obviously remains unexposed over a mile too so if stepping forward as expected should be hard to beat as the market is suggesting.

Drink Dry ran well on return at Brighton and then finished a good second to an improver in Phoenix Passion at Nottingham so looks the danger. He is more exposed though which swayed my vote to the selection. Toromoro also respected but might need more time and experience.

17:15 Brighton

Brighton 5.15 Small Fry (2/1)

This looks very winnable so SMALL FRY is expected to take a lot of beating. He is by Harzand and has only had the 4 starts to date. He ran a big race on handicap debut in Ireland when last seen and now on debut for his new yard could easily improve again and win this. I think he’ll appreciate the better ground and the drop back to a mile and a quarter could also suit as he has a nice mix of speed and stamina.

Niloufar impressed winning at Chelmsford and Lingfield before finishing fourth at Newbury last time. She was only beaten a length and a half so could still be on an upward trajectory and looks the danger. Mon Etoile has been running well and is another one to note.

16:22 Newbury

Value Tip for Tuesday 25th June

Newbury 4.22 Golden Phase (9/2)

The hat-trick seeking GOLDEN PHASE may well prove up the task here. She stayed on strongly from off the pace to get back to winning ways at Bath last month and again impressed with how she went through the race winning at that venue again last time. She was actually eased down at the finish and given how keen she raced early that was quite taking for this level. Those visual impressions have been backed up by the clock on both occasions too and if improving again up 4lb will go close.

Laser Focus won at Windsor and Lingfield before finishing second at Wetherby and Nottingham and is clearly bang in form so looks the danger despite another 3lb rise. Bloomwithgrace only went down narrowly at Windsor last time and is another one expected to get competitive at least.
