GYTO Notebook Double for Thursday 4th July
The high draw is far from ideal but other than that INDEMNITY has tons going for him. He could easily be coming here on a hat-trick as he looked a bit unlucky to get run down at Leicester and then confirmed that promise to win readily at Nottingham last month. He is open to further improvement back in handicap company and if overcoming stall 12 should have a great chance to go and follow up under James Doyle.
Pumalin Park also clocked a career best winning at Salisbury last month and if improving again looks the danger. Cabinet Of Clowns was poor at Newmarket on reappearance but if leaving that behind is definitely another one to note.
21:00 Newbury
Newbury 9.00 New Kings Road (5/2)
The way NEW KINGS ROAD opened his account at Salisbury last month was really promising and he didn’t do a lot wrong beaten just half a length at Pontefract last time. I know the winner has let that form down since but the fifth Visibility has won so it has been franked to some extent. He got a bit worked up in the prelims last time so if they can keep a lid on him and he settles better I’m confident he’ll take a lot of beating.
Great Chieftain has been running well in defeat and he should find this a bit easier so it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see him emerge as the danger. Double Red is still lightly raced and if finding further improvement is another one I can see getting competitive.

Value Tip for Thursday 4th July
The progressive ALBERT CEE looks good value to follow up that Chepstow win. He has won 2 of his last 3 now and made a winning start for this yard bolting up over this trip last month. That form has already been franked with the runner-up Howzak winning in good style next time out. The handicapper has reacted putting him up 10lb but he clocked a decent speed figure last time and is definitely still open to further improvement. This is competitive but he is on an upward curve and looks the one to beat again.
Trilby won 2 of his first 3 starts to kick off the season but has gone off the boil somewhat since. He didn’t shape badly at York last time though and might not be too far away from a return to form so could be the danger. Grant Wood got his head back in front over C&D latest and is another one in with a squeak if in the same form again.
