Steve Ryder is back with three tips from Wednesday's horse racing action.
18:30 Bath
This looks a competitive 0-80 handicap but preference goes to MY DELILAH (best priced at 11/4) who won over this course and distance last season and returned to form with a close 2nd here last time. The Adrian Wintle trained filly always runs well at this track with form figures of 3516342 in her career with even her 4th placed finish a month ago resulting in her being beaten 1 ¾ lengths at the finish.
My Delilah won here on firm ground a year ago off a mark of 62 by 3 ½ lengths so she is well handicapped off a mark of 60 and runs here off the same mark as when 2nd by ¾ length here just over a week ago. Jack Doughty takes off a handy 5lbs meaning she carries less than nine stone in this race and she should prove hard to beat

The John & Sean Quinn trained MR WAGYU (best priced at 15/8) has been running well in defeat so far this season and he can hopefully gain a much-deserved success dropped in class. The nine-year-old hasn’t won since July 2022 but has now dropped to a mark of 92 despite still running well in Class 2 handicaps so far this season.
Mr Wagyu has run three times at Epsom in his career, all in the JRA Tokyo Trophy run in June, where he won it in 2022 off a mark of 94, finished 3rd beaten 1 ¼ lengths in 2023 off a mark of 96 and when 2nd beaten a short head this year off a mark of 90. Another big run is expected and he now drops into a Class 3 handicap for the first time since July 2023.

The Jim Boyle trained MARLAY PARK (best priced at 5/1) is a course specialist at Epsom and should hold strong claims of recording a fifth course and distance victory. The six-year-old has form figures of 221321521344124 at the track with his victories coming off marks of 74, 78, 80 and 79.
Marlay Park ran well here when finishing 4th beaten only three lengths on Oaks Day this season in a Class 2 0-100 handicap and he now drops in grade to this Class 4 0-85 handicap off a mark of 79. He is well drawn in Stall 4 and should run well with up to four places available.
