Steve Ryder is back with three tips from Friday's horse racing action.
15:50 Doncaster
The Michael Bell trained BRAVE NATION (best priced at 5/1) has run well on all three of his starts over 5f this season and he can hopefully gain a much-deserved victory in this race. The four-year-old finished 3rd on his reappearance at Ascot off a mark of 80 before finishing 2nd by ½ length over this course and distance on his penultimate start off a mark of 77.
Brave Nation didn’t get a clear a clear run when 2nd beaten a length at Sandown last time off a mark of 78 and a 1lb rise from the handicapper can be seen as lenient. Billy Loughnane deputises on board which is no negative and he looks sure to run well once again.

Hilary Needler winner PERFECT PART (best priced at 10/11) wouldn’t have looked out of place at Royal Ascot and she can prove her debut victory at 125/1 was no fluke. The Brian Ellison trained filly travelled well on her debut waiting for room before beating Maw Lam by ½ length. That rival boosted the form finishing 3rd in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and the third Aviation Time also boosted the form with a 3rd placed finish in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot.
With those form boosts and her course and distance experience, Perfect Part should be able to make it 2/2 in this race.
18:43 Haydock
Spartan Warrior is respected in his hat-trick bid but a chance is taken on PANTHERA (best priced at 8/1) on her handicap debut. The David Menuisier trained three-year-old has caught the eye in her three qualifying runs at Newbury, Chelmsford and Kempton where she has shown her inexperience in different ways.
Panthera has been given an opening mark of 76 which seems fair and she is expected to step forward from her recent 4th placed finish when trying to make all under Kyle Strydom. David Egan takes over on board and she should run well on her handicap debut.
