Hopefully all eight remain in this 0-90 handicap as PEDRO VALENTINO (best priced at 5/1) looks a solid each way alternative against the favourite Treasure Time. The Clive Cox trained three-year-old has run consistently well on his five career starts but put in a career best performance winning over this course and distance in first time cheekpieces last time.

Pedro Valentino won comfortably that day under a change of tactics by 1 ¼ lengths and a 4lb rise seems lenient. Callum Shepherd takes over on board and he looks sure to be involved in the finish.

19:10 Nottingham

This looks to be between recent course and distance winners Ray Vonn and DARK DREAMER (best priced at 9/2) with preference going to the latter who looks open to more progress. The Robert Cowell trained three-year-old won on his reappearance having been gelded prior to his handicap debut before finishing a close 2nd at Windsor. He slightly disappointed at Kempton on his next start only a week later but bounced back to form with a victory over this course and distance a fortnight ago off a mark of 69.

A 6lb rise for a ½ length victory initially looks harsh but the pair pulled 2 ¾ lengths clear of the third that day and the runner-up Ten Commitments has won since and is now rated 6lbs higher than that day. Jack Mitchell is once again on board and Dark Dreamer should prove hard to beat in this race.

20:20 Carlisle

The David O’Meara trained ORBAAN (best priced at 11/4) won in good style over this course and distance last time and he should hold strong claims of following up off a 6lb higher mark. The nine-year-old appreciated the drop in class in the Carlisle Bell where he won comfortably by 1 ¼ lengths off a career low mark of 81.

That was his first success since August 2022 so hopefully that will have given Orbaan lots of confidence and he drops into an easier 0-80 handicap here despite his revised rating of 87. He should hold a huge class edge having been rated as high as 100 last year and it would be disappointing if he doesn’t follow up here.
