FINEST VIEW (best price 9-4) has been unfortunate to bump into a couple of summer jumpers who have been right on top of their game on his last two starts, but you couldn’t fault her attitude in either defeat and she deserves another chance in her bid to return to winnings ways at a track that saw her run out a comfortable winner back in April.

Finding one too good in the shape of in-form Collingham at Bangor two outings ago, Alan King’s mare filled out the same position at Newton Abbot next time, this time at the hands of Feel The Pinch who had previously chased home subsequent winner, Maxcel.

With the time figures of each race good, the collateral form working out well and hailing from a stable who are currently running at a 28% strike rate, it makes sense to stay loyal to a mare who revisits a course where recent memories are very favourable.

LIHYAN (best price 8-1) hasn’t had the rub of the green in his last two starts and providing the ground stays good here this afternoon, Rebecca Menzies’ gelding can get back on track.

Sent down a blind alley on several occasions at Cartmel two starts ago, the six-year-old finished off his race well enough once out in the clear and although his pathway wasn’t quite so tragic at Uttoxeter last time out, he may have well fared better had he received a clearer run down the home straight.

Prior to those two efforts, he had won in very easy fashion at Market Rasen and with today’s contest representing a significant ease in grade, the smooth-travelling six-year-old has the class and ability to make a big impression with a better rub of the green.
