14:22 Thirsk

GYTO Notebook Double for Wednesday 17th July

Thirsk 2.22 Rogue Tornado (15/8)

This looks a good opportunity for ROGUE TORNADO to get back on track. This son of Cracksman impressed making a winning start for this yard at Leicester back in May and then didn’t do a great deal wrong beaten just half a length at Doncaster last month. He is still unexposed and off just a 1lb higher mark looks the one to beat. When he won at Leicester he was always in the right position and with a lack of pace on he could even go forward and put them to the sword.

Genesius has been mega consistent and could be the danger as that form behind Miller Spirit and again behind Kardia last time is decent. Fearless Bay is another one to note but does need to step forward on that last run.

17:40 Yarmouth

Yarmouth 5.40 Adrestia (7/4)

Havana Grey filly ADRESTIA ran a really promising race on debut at Windsor to finish third. Connections much have been impressed too as they sent her to Royal Ascot where she certainly wasn’t disgraced finishing midfield in the Queen Mary. She already sets the standard and is open to further improvement so I’m confident she can get herself in the winners enclosure now. James Doyle is back in the saddle too which is another positive.

Dutch Finale looked to need the experience when fifth on debut at Newcastle but is expected to improve and might even be the one to give her most to think about. Rogue Bullet has more experience than most in this and is another one to note.

15:30 Bath

Value Tip for Wednesday 17th July

Bath 3.30 Twayblade (11/2)

I can see TWAYBLADE going close here. This son of Mayson was denied just a neck at Ffos Las last time and left off the same mark looks good value to go one better. He is 5lb below his last winning mark and with Oisin Murphy booked connections must be hopeful of him going in. This looks no tougher than last time and under aggressive tactics I get the feeling he could be hard to peg back.

Carmarthen got off the mark at Wolverhampton last time and looks the danger as she is on an upward curve. Sisters In The Sky also arrives in winning form but he has never backed up a win so that would be slightly concerning. Second Collection ties in on form and is another in with a squeak.
