Griselda beat BANK ON KENT (best priced at 2/1) by a nose at Pontefract a week ago but with a 6lb pull in the weights those placings are expected to be reversed in this contest. The David Evans trained gelding finished well beaten on his three qualifying runs when sent off 80/1, 28/1 and 40/1 but showed a huge improvement when runner-up on his handicap debut last time.

Bank On Kent finished only a nose behind Griselda that day when fitted with a first time visor off a mark of 58 with the reopposing Toota a further neck behind in 3rd. He was pestered for the lead that day but from a positive draw in Stall 2 he is expected to make all with Rossa Ryan taking over on board.

Last time out winner Le Beau Garcon is respected off a 3lb higher mark but preference instead goes to MAJESKI MAN (best priced at 7/2) caught the eye when 2nd last time at Leicester. The Paul Midgley trained seven-year-old won on his only start at this venue in his career last season off a mark of 73 and now races off a 4lb lower mark.

That mark of 69 is the same rating as when Majeski Man finished 2nd by a length at Leicester a fortnight ago. He had previously disappointed on his three starts on the AW this season when dropping from a mark of 75 to 69 but he had previously finished runner-up on his final two starts last season on turf off marks of 73. He is well handicapped off a mark of 69 and should prove hard to beat with David Nolan back on board.

The Joe Parr trained TENNESSEE GOLD (best priced at 7/2) was an impressive 2 ¼ length winner over this course and distance on his reappearance and he is expected to resume his progress in this race. The three-year-old was given a patient ride that day under Daniel Muscutt before racing too keenly on his next to starts on turf at Haydock and Yarmouth. He ran with credit on both of those starts including when only beaten 1 ¼ lengths last time when dropped back to this trip of 6f.

Tennessee Gold runs here off an 11lb higher mark than here in May and now upped in grade to Class 4 company but with Daniel Muscutt on board and a strong pace expected, he looks sure to run well.
