Steve Ryder is back with four tips from Wednesday's horse racing action.
15:52 Thirsk
The Ed de Giles trained AUTUMN FESTIVAL (best priced at 8/1) outran odds of 50/1 to finish a close 3rd on his stable debut here in May and he should hold strong claims in this race off a 9lb lower mark. The five-year-old has hit the frame on all three of his career starts at Thirsk including when 4th beaten only 2 ½ lengths off a mark of 91 a year ago.
Autumn Festival finished well beaten in three turf handicaps at Newbury, Epsom and Chester in Class 2 and 3 company but now drops into a Class 4 0-80 handicap off a mark of 81. This drop to 7f shouldn’t inconvenience this front runner and he should outrun his odds.

16:00 Bath
This looks a weak 0-55 handicap and a chance is taken that first time blinkers spark PRINCESS NAOMI (best priced at 10/1) back to form. The Rod Millman trained four-year-old won over this course and distance a year ago off a mark of 57 before finishing 2nd beaten less than a length later that season off a mark of 61.
Princess Naomi has dropped from a mark of 61 to a mark of 46 in her seven runs so far this season but connections have booked Saffie Osbourne for the ride and now fit her with first time blinkers in this race. Off a career low mark, she should spring a surprise here.
16:22 Thirsk
Both Dazy Mazy and LORD ABAMA (best priced at 13/2) arrive here in good form but preference goes to the latter who boasts an unbeaten record at the track in blinkers. The Michael Dods trained five-year-old won here in May in first time blinkers off a mark of 59 before following up a month ago off a mark of 64.
Lord Abama was fourth beaten only ¾ length at Ayr last month off this mark of 68 and he looks sure to run well once again back over this course and distance off the same mark with four places widely available.
17:30 Bath
Weston Court is respected in his hat-trick bid but a chance is taken on THUNDERING BREEZE (best priced at 9/1) on her handicap debut. The Gary & Josh Moore trained three-year-old finished well beaten on her first two starts at Windsor over 6f before catching the eye over 7f last time at Newmarket when staying on to finish 3rd late on.
Sent off at prices of 66/1 and 33/1 for those three starts, much better is expected from Thundering Breeze on her handicap debut in this race off an opening mark of 62. She steps up in trip again to a mile for the first time and should run well.
