JORGE ALVARES sets the standard with two solid placed efforts over this trip at York and Leicester and he probably won't need to improve much, if indeed at all, to make it third-time lucky. Mr Cool has had stall problems in the past, but his latest Carlisle effort was pleasing and he could improve again to figure here. Newcomer Mr Fantastic must also be respected representing a stable that have done tremendously well with their juvenile runners so far this season.
Prediction : 1st Jorge Alvares 2nd Mr Cool 3rd Mr Fantastic

Michael Dods appears to have an excellent chance of taking this contest, saddling EDUCATING RITA and Military Girl. Both have very similar profiles, improving from narrow debut defeats to score over 5f at Catterick, but the former was slightly more impressive and jockey bookings perhaps also point to her. Toota improved for a hood (worn this evening) when a close-up third at Pontefract and she's quickly bounced out before a 2lb rise comes into effect.
Prediction : 1st Educating Rita 2nd Military Girl 3rd Toota

Everything points to a huge run from JORDAN ELECTRICS, a seven-time course winner who arrives here in the form of his life. A further 7lb rise for his latest C&D success will obviously make life tougher, as well as stepping up in class, but he was hugely impressive 17 days ago and will take some stopping if arriving in the same mood. Tiriac is another gelding in fine form and he must be considered off a light weight, while any market support for the returning Spangled Mac would be interesting.
Prediction : 1st Jordan Electrics 2nd Tiriac 3rd Spangled Mac

KALPANA finished a creditable third in the Group 2 Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot when upped to 1m4f last month. This intermediate distance will likely suit Andrew Balding's progressive filly and a bold bid is expected. Caviar Heights has faced a couple of tough assignments since landing a Listed race at Newmarket in May but this looks less competitive, while God's Window will be more at home at this level having been outclassed in the Derby and first-time cheekpieces may also bring about some improvement.
Prediction : 1st Kalpana 2nd Caviar Heights 3rd Gods Window

Plenty with claims, but MOON FLIGHT beat a subsequent dual winner when scoring at Ayr when last seen and remains unexposed on turf. Love Wars was narrowly beaten at Haydock on her handicap debut and has plenty of scope for further progress, while Winged Messenger failed to reel in the winner by only a neck at Leicester and is another to consider. Pop Star landed a double at Ayr with his latest success but is penalised 5lb, and Digital has something to prove off his current handicap rating.
Prediction : 1st Moon Flight 2nd Love Wars 3rd Winged Messenger

It might have taken TWOFORTHEGUTTER 17 attempts to break his duck, but the son of Expert Eye proved it was no flash in the pan by following up last time. With both of those successes coming at this venue, Christopher Kellet's charge has a clear liking for the track and, raised a further 2lb, he can complete the hat-trick. A drop in trip could suit Yurinov, who faded late on over 1m6f at Nottingham recently, while Bebeto warrants a market check ahead of his handicap debut.
Prediction : 1st Twoforthegutter 2nd Yurinov 3rd Bebeto

Penelope's Sister has few miles on the clock and this step up in trip could unlock further improvement, but CRYSTAL GUARD is already proven at this distance and he shades preference. The six-year-old has been in good form of late, most recently when pulling clear with the winner when second at Musselburgh, so he ought to hold every chance from an unchanged mark. Major Snugfit was far from discredited over 2m at Catterick earlier this month, but he could fare better eased in trip.
Prediction : 1st Crystal Guard 2nd Penelopes Sister 3rd Major Snugfit
