UK Horse Racing Tips: Killarney

INSPIRE HOPE is entitled to improve from her initial experience over jumps and can go one better. The Camelot filly jumped well early on first time over hurdles in Tipperary, but her jumping fell apart late on as she got tired in the straight and she finished well beaten behind easy winner Butter Fingers. Experience is always a big asset in these juvenile hurdles and she can step forward. Robbies Rock ran a nice race to chase home Leinster in a Down Royal maiden in late May and is interesting tackling hurdles now for Gavin Cromwell. Sinbad My Dad is worth a look.

SHARP OBJECT ran well in a competitive contest at Downpatrick last time and looks capable of landing a race of this standard. The Diamond Boy mare chased home Femme Magnifique and that form has worked out well since, most recently with the third horse Disco Dancer scoring at Cork. Folly Beach looks an obvious danger having lost out narrowly at Tipperary on her hurdling debut. Wudya has been knocking on the door and the fact that she doesn't have to carry a penalty here is a plus. She's another for the shortlist.

Paddy Hanlon's claim leaves FUTURUM REGEM on a feather weight and he gets the vote. The Sir Prancealot gelding was moving into contention last time in Bellewstown when making a mistake two from home. He had to settle for third in the end and, off the same mark, looks capable of scoring now. Zeeband was a good winner over in Bangor and despite running off a 10lb higher mark back on Irish soil, he commands respect. Donacheady Gale has been knocking on the door and lost out by the narrowest of margins in Kilbeggan. He's another for the shortlist.

Richard O'Brien had his eye on this race after EXTRAPOLATION won his beginners chase at Ballinrobe in late May, and he looks like the horse in the field with the potential to improve. A mark of 127 doesn't look harsh given the way he won from a decent rival in Mighty Tom last time. Dreal Deal's form over fences has been good in recent months and, back over the larger obstacles, he could be a danger. Flooring Porter is the eyecatching runner, but the dual Stayers' Hurdle winner may find this trip sharp enough on this kind of ground.

BOWMORE looks the type to make a better chaser and he gets the vote here after a convincing success on his debut over fences at Tipperary earlier in the month. The Vadamos gelding may be more at home over this trip than a few of his chief rivals. It was three miles that Reverend Hubert won over at Punchestown last month and he takes a significant drop in trip as he bids for a hat-trick. The Zoffany gelding did come off the Flat so he may have the pace for this distance. Solitary Man chased home Reverend Hubert last time and with that rival carrying a double penalty, he's entitled to get a bit closer.

RISING DUST looks capable of landing a handicap chase off this mark. The Leading Light gelding only had a couple of spins over the larger obstacles last winter and this ground will be a lot more suitable now. He won over timber at Listowel early last month before a solid effort at Kilbeggan last time. He is now rated 4lb lower over fences. Previous C&D winner Meehall ran well on his return, over hurdles, at Tipperary recently and could be a big player. Kilashee got a solo at Kilbeggan when winning by a wide margin. She also has to be respected off a 7lb lower mark back over fences.

SAVANTE looked very smart when winning on her debut at Punchestown and can follow up here. She beat Fillusin by a convincing nine and a half lengths and it's hard to see that rival turning the tables, despite a 7lb turnaround at the weights. The Willie Mullins-trained Ellen Kelly obviously commands respect and could be a bigger danger. The Westerner mare won well on her second start at Sligo and looked to have improved from her initial run at Downpatrick. On that form, she'd have a bit to find with the selection having previously chased home Sanrisk, who went on to finish fourth to Savante at Punchestown.
