Solid recent form is always a plus in these claimers and MAGNETIC NORTH comes here having won a similar event at Gowran Park last month. He did well to win over a mile that day and will be better suited by stepping back up in trip. Edge Of Darkness has been running better over hurdles than on the Flat recently but his mark of 76 entitles him to respect in this kind of contest. Cordouan has been slightly disappointing in a couple of claimers recently but may appreciate going a bit further now and he is nicely treated getting 8lb from the aforementioned pair.Prediction : 1st Magnetic North 2nd Edge Of Darkness 3rd Cordouan

THOMPSON GUNNER ran a big race here on his first official start last month. The Highland Reel gelding had won a barrier trial before making his debut under rules and just faded a touch late on when fourth to Juja Kibo. With experience under his belt he can make the most of a low draw. Presence has also fared well in box one and she could be a big player. The New Bay filly ran a solid race in handicap company at Down Royal and her mark of 70 makes her a big player in an average-looking maiden. El Regalo showed some promise when fifth behind easy winner Galen on his official debut at the Curragh and is a potential improver.Prediction : 1st Thompson Gunner 2nd Presence 3rd El Regalo

NEXT TRICK may be able to make a winning start in handicap company. The Bated Breath filly had some solid maiden form and has been placed three times. Her run at Gowran last month, when a staying on second to Glen Princess, suggested that she would appreciate stepping up to this trip. Jack Spriggins was well backed in a couple of maidens but weakened tamely enough on those occasions over ten furlongs. It's interesting that he steps back up in trip now after a solid run over seven at Dundalk recently. Gregorina is a couple of pounds out of the handicap but won here on her penultimate outing and has to come into calculations.Prediction : 1st Next Trick 2nd Jack Spriggins 3rd Gregorina

Ger O'Leary looks to have a strong hand, saddling both BEAR PROFIT and Come On The Lads. The former is the selection, with apprentice Keithin Kennedy claiming a valuable 7lb. A winner at Leopardstown last month, he was short of room in the closing stages when beaten into fourth at Roscommon on his latest start. Come On The Lads was claimed by O'Leary after winning at Tipperary in May and should give a good account of himself in a contest of this quality. Fresh from partnering his first winner at Killarney last week, teenage apprentice Darragh O'Sullivan will be aboard the Elzaam four-year-old. An eight-time winner, Sirjack Thomas warrants respect after his recent Dundalk success, while the well-bred Simpsons Paradox is another of interest in first-time cheekpieces.Prediction : 1st Bear Profit 2nd Come On The Lads 3rd Sirjack Thomas

NO HASSLE might be able to take this. No worse than fourth on seven of her last nine starts, the Shane Ryder-trained bay was successful on this very card 12-months ago. The likeable seven-year-old won for the third time at Leopardstown on her penultimate outing and since ran a solid race when third here to Royal Eagle. See Me Through has been a model of consistency so far this campaign and is sure to have plenty of supporters after filling the runner-up spot on his last two starts. The Ross O'Sullivan trained entire takes a significant step-up in trip here and it'll be interesting to see how he fares. Successful at Cork last month, La Dame Blanche warrants respect, while admirable veteran Lord Erskine, who has no less than 11 wins to his name, is another leading hope.Prediction : 1st No Hassle 2nd See Me Through 3rd Lord Erskine

Despite being out of the handicap, it might be worth taking a chance on GARDONE. The four-year-old ran his best race to date when a never nearer fifth to Numidia at Fairyhouse last month and he is tried in blinkers for the first time now. Burvea and Enquire Within are more obvious contenders, with the latter placed three times from her four most recent starts. Mayo For Sam is another sure to have plenty of supporters. Just denied here on her penultimate outing, the Vocalised bay will need to bounce back from a below par effort at Limerick. A Grade 2 winner over flights, Rocky Blue is of definite interest, while Forlio, Rebel Ruler and Itsalonglongroad are others for the shortlist.Prediction : 1st Gardone 2nd Enquire Within 3rd Mayo For Sam

This looks a good opportunity for CARLO BIANCONI. Successful at Sligo in May, the Galiway four-year-old was subsequently disqualified after his rider claimed 7lb instead of 5. Since third and sixth in competitive handicaps at Cork and the Curragh respectively, the 77-rated bay returns to maiden company now and with Dylan Browne McMonagle aboard he'll be expected to deliver. Surprise Package is the highest rated of those with a mark. A three-time winner over hurdles, he was beaten by just half-a-length in this very contest 12-months ago and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a place better now. A runner-up on her last three starts, Stariam is sure to have plenty of supporters, while Hey Johnny is another that warrants respect. Prediction : 1st Carlo Bianconi 2nd Suprise Package 3rd Stariam
