GO ON ROSIE ran well for a long way over 6f at York on her first start in a nursery. Nigel Tinkler's filly should find life easier in this company, with the return to this shorter distance also in her favour.

Peripeteia wasn't far behind the selection when fourth on her penultimate start and can figure again on more favourable terms, while National Question drops into this lower grade for the first time on the back of improved efforts in handicaps.

Le Beau Garcon could prove popular here after winning a better race at Thirsk last month, but he has been upped 3lb for that which makes his life more difficult. ROCK MELODY last won in October last year with seven defeats since, but she reverts to the five furlongs here which makes her of interest. She has won twice over C&D, both in better races, and could surprise a few. Classy Al and Ghathanfar are also noted.

A small field could mean a lack of pace, and there is every chance that Joe Fanning will be able to set his own fractions on UNION ISLAND, which might suit the son of U S Navy Flag. He raced on the pace at Brighton on his first start of the season before being headed late on over six furlongs, and could prove hard to catch dropped back in trip. Showboated is an obvious danger with three placed efforts to his name to date, while newcomer Glowchester is bred to be speedy.

George Boughey's three-year-old is hard to oppose and can get the better of Rory, Rapido Girl and Monhammer.
